Texting and Phone
Ramsey County Children's Mental Health Collaborative (RCCMHC) offers phone and text messaging services related to the following programs:
800-565-2575 Resource Line: You may call or text this number for resources. The first time you text this number, you will receive an automatic compliance message. This message will remind you that if you use the service, message and data rates may apply. It will also notify you that if you want to stop getting text messages from us, you must reply STOP. By calling or texting the Resource Line, you understand, acknowledge and agree that this is NOT a crisis line and our Family Support Specialists are not licensed clinicians. If you or your child is experiencing a crisis or need urgent help, you understand that you should call 911 or Ramsey County Mobile Crisis Team 651-266-7878.

Reminders: When you give prior consent, you will be registered to receive reminders for specific meetings, appointments, trainings, programs or resources. When we text you the first reminder, you will receive an automatic compliance message. This message will remind you that if you use the service, message and data rates may apply. It will also notify you that if you want to stop getting text messages from us, you must reply STOP.

Family Support: RCCMHC provides free family support such as: Resilience Coaching, Care Coordination, and Resource Navigation. When you give prior consent, we may check in with you or provide resources to you via text. You will decide how frequently you receive these texts. When we text you the first time, you will receive an automatic compliance message. This message will remind you that if you use the service, message and data rates may apply. It will also notify you that if you want to stop getting text messages from us, you must reply STOP.

Referrals: You may be referred to RCCMHC by a hospital, provider, school, or peer. It is the responsibility of the referring hospital, provider, school or peer to obtain your preference and prior consent to be contacted by RCCMHC via text message. When we text you the first time, you will receive an automatic compliance message. This message will remind you that if you use the service, message and data rates may apply. It will also notify you that if you want to stop getting text messages from us, you must reply STOP.

Gift Card Stipends or Raffle Prizes: We offer gift cards stipends for some trainings, resource events & policy work and we offer gift card raffle prizes at some events. When you give prior consent, gift cards are delivered by text message or email. When we text you the first time, you will receive an automatic compliance message. This message will remind you that if you use the service, message and data rates may apply. It will also notify you that if you want to stop getting text messages from us, you must reply STOP.

Text messaging may include one-time or recurring texts related to the above programs. If you choose to participate in these texting services with RCCMHC, we both agree that the only way to end text messages for a specific texting program is to reply STOP. You understand and approve that replying STOP to one texting program will not opt you out of all programs that you are enrolled in. You must reply STOP to each texting program that you no longer want to be a part of. In all programs, you may text HELP for help. Text messages may be sent to your mobile number using an automatic dialing system. Message and Data rates may apply. Text messaging may not be available from all carriers.

IF YOU NO LONGER WANT TEXT MESSAGES FROM US, YOU MUST REPLY STOP TO EACH TEXTING PROGRAM YOU ENROLLED IN.

After you send "STOP" to us, we may send you a message to make sure that you no longer want to get text messages from that program. After this, you will no longer get text messages from us from that texting program. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending text messages to you for the programs you have signed up for.
We do not guarantee the successful delivery of text messages by your wireless provider. Messages sent by text may not be delivered if the mobile device is not in range of a transmission site, or if the network is down. Factors beyond the power of wireless carriers may get in the way of message delivery. This may include the terrain, how close you are to buildings, foliage, weather, and your equipment. We and your wireless provider will not be liable for losses or damages that come from:

a message not delivered, a message delivered late, or

a message that goes to the wrong number; or
-
inaccurate or incomplete content in a text message.

We are not liable for your use or reliance on the content of any text message.

If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

Privacy and Security- texting and phone: Please update us right away if your mobile number changes. It is your responsibility to give a correct mobile number and to update any changes. If you don’t give us your new mobile number, we are not responsible for any text message sent to the wrong number.
We recommend you use a password to open your mobile device. Text messages may include protected health information (PHI). Since text messaging is unencrypted, there is a risk that this PHI could be intercepted or viewed by third parties, including others who look at your device. When you choose to get text messages from us, you do so at your own risk. The use and disclosure of PHI in text messaging may be governed by other privacy notices, including applicable HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

Family Support and Community Outreach
RCCMHC provides family support services and community outreach programs such as resource connections, large group psychoeduaction, resilience coaching, care team coordination, wellness events, leadership opportunities, and appointment setting/referrals. ALL RCCMHC SERVICES ARE FREE AND VOLUNTARY. WE DO NOT PROVIDE CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES (for example, therapy.)

Information Sharing and Mandated Reporting
RCCMHC will not share your information without your permission. If you need us to share information, you will sign a form called a Release of Information. The only time that we might need to talk to someone without your signed Release of Information is if we think you or your child are in danger or if you say that you or your child are planning to hurt yourself or someone else. If that happens, we will do our best to get you help right away. This means that RCCMHC staff, interns or volunteers might have to consult their supervisor or connect you with emergency supports.

Gift Card Stipends, Tangible Tools and Raffle Prizes
We offer $10-20 gift cards for some trainings, resource events & policy work. You must be present for the full program to get a gift card. Only two adult caregivers per household may receive giftcard stipends for the same program. Youth giftcard stipends are only available for youth-specific programming. Gift cards are typically delivered by text message or email. We also deliver program-related care packages, calm kits, and tools such as yoga mats or fidgets. These are typically delivered by mail to your home (for example; Amazon delivers) or we will make arrangements for our staff or volunteers to deliver the item. RCCMHC can not guarantee that you will receive your gift card stipend, tangible tool, or raffle prize.
