(Ages 6-11) We'll practice assertive communication, how to talk to others about your feelings, and how to ask for what you need. Each child gets to choose free supplies for their CALM Toolkit.

(Ages 12+) We'll practice assertive communication, how to talk to others about your feelings, how to ask for what you need, setting healthy boundaries, talking about mental health, and how to manage uncomfortable conversations . Each teen gets to choose free supplies for their CALM Toolkit.

We'll talk about the causes of conflicts between parents, parent-child, and siblings. Then we'll talk about ways to defuse conflict in the moment and resolve conflicts so they don't keep happening. 2 adults per family can get free CALM toolkit supplies.

The Governing Board meeting is open to the public. Registration is not required but if you sign up, you will receive automatic email reminders and an option to add the meeting to your calendar. See Zoom link and more information below.

Ramsey County Crisis will join us to review the difference between a mental health crisis and an emergency and how to manage each of these. We'll practice strategies to manage aggression and agitation and discuss when/how to get help. Two adult caregivers per family can receive a $20 gift card.

(Ages 6-11) We'll use games and activities to talk about our emotions. We'll also practice coping skills that we can use when we have very big emotions that make us feel overwhelmed. Each child gets to choose free supplies for their CALM Toolkit.

(Ages 12+) We'll talk about how to recognize and prevent emotional flooding. We'll also practice strategies to feel more in control of our bodies/feelings if we do experience emotional flooding. Each teen gets to choose free supplies for their CALM Toolkit.

This Committee meeting is OPEN to all parents/caregivers in Ramsey County who have experience with children's mental health challenges. $20 stipend.

This will be a hand-on learning class with lots of de-escalation examples and practice. You will also have time to write your own crisis plan. 2 adults per family can get free CALM toolkit supplies.

This 2.0 training will help parents explore their own strengths and how to draw on those strengths while parenting a child that struggles to manage their emotions or behaviors.

Learn about stress and trauma, strategies to deal with distress and heal from trauma, intergenerational trauma, resilience, and post-traumatic growth. Find out how to move from surviving to thriving. Two adult caregivers per family can receive a $20 gift card.
