Workforce Development and Capacity Building
RCCMHC supports capacity building with an emphasis on the development of culturally-specific and culturally responsive providers.

More recently, we have also focused on workforce shortages and compassion fatigue/ "burnout."

Objectives
1) Increase knowledge of and access to community resources, 2) Increase knowledge about mental health and related topics, 3) Increase access to tools that increase productivity or reduce burnout, 4) Reduce impact of workforce shortages and waitlists.
Our Approach

Our approach to capacity building is based on the Annapolis Framework. We support, strengthen and broaden our workforce through multidisciplinary training and resource sharing opportunities.
Our expanded concept of the workforce includes mental health professionals such as clinical and non-clinical specialized care professionals and healers. But it also includes non-mental health experts such as resource navigators, case managers, educators, faith leaders, and others who support youth and families with complex needs.
